Freedom lies within. It’s the unfathomed potential of conscience and will which are truly the unharnessed. No one can ever see or control your conscience. Nothing can stop realization and learning, not even ourselves. Conscience is sensory perception and reflexive response.
Today, all the laws and rights which advocate freedom are a culmination of conscience gathered from the history. It exists because we understand the significance of morality. Our deeds depend on that “inner belief” which we all carry. All minds can distinguish between good and evil. Hence, freedom controlled by conscience can also be a test, which allows humanity to bring out its true form. It tests the ethics a man carries. It is the capacity to understand and decide one’s response.
Karma hunts every being. We get what we deserve by our doings. Conscience can be perceived as karma’s messenger, it warns you until you deserve what you should. The government merely gives its perception of the doing and it may not be absolute or correct. Such an example is Alfred Nobel, who invented the dynamite. At that time, he was heavily rewarded for the invent, a threat to humanity, which he later repented. His conscience realized him guilty, in order to compensate, he bequeathed his fortune, profits from the sales of arms, to institute Nobel Prize.
The government cannot decide the circumstance of a person and so, cannot punish or reward. It isn’t possible to ascertain the person’s conscience. Neither can a sole being like a dictator decide the fate of a person according to his perception. Should a being be ruled or governed by the same set of laws if their conditions are varying?
